Alhamdulillah, the blessed days of Dzulhijjah are upon us, and we are approaching the great occasion of Eid Al-Adha 1447H — a celebration of sacrifice, devotion, and brotherhood in the Muslim community.

Eid Al-Adha commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to offer his son as an act of obedience to Allah, and Allah’s mercy in providing a ram in his place. It coincides with the completion of Hajj — the pilgrimage to Makkah — and is marked by the sacrifice of livestock, the distribution of meat to those in need, and communal prayer.

The Eid prayer is an important communal act of worship. It is an occasion that brings the entire Muslim community together — men, women, and children — with sholat, listening to the khutbah (sermon), and celebrating the blessings He has bestowed upon us.

We warmly invite all brothers and sisters to join us for the Eid Al-Adha prayer at Masjid Al Hikmah in Den Haag. Let us begin this blessed day together in unity, gratitude, and devotion.

The Eid prayer will take place on:

• The prayer and sermon are one combined set and will begin at 9:00 AM — please arrive on time but remain calm
• Bring your own bag for your shoes
• The entrance for women is at the back of the masjid
• All rooms on the ground floor are designated for women
• The Al-Mu’mineen room is for women with young children
• The first floor is for men only
• The outdoor courtyard in front of the masjid is divided in two: left for women and right for men
• At the main entrance and the first floor entrance, stewards will be present to coordinate the flow of attendees
• If a second Eid prayer is needed, an imam will lead the prayer in the outdoor courtyard of the masjid

Finally: please observe the house rules of the masjid and be considerate of one another.
